Popular TV talk show host, 41, is killed after light plane crashes in field after catching fire during emergency landing

 A popular Russian TV talk show host was killed in a minor accident near Moscow on Saturday.


Alexander Koltovoy, 41, was driving his Cessna when it appeared to catch fire during an emergency landing attempt. His wife, who was not identified, was also killed in the crash, reports said. The footage shows smoke rising from the single-engine plane as it descends on a highway near Tomilino in the Moscow region. Eyewitnesses saw the remains that had fallen in the fields that were burning in flames. Another particularly disturbing video posted by online media Mash at the crash site shows the severely charred remains of a man.  



Koltovoy hosted the talk shows "DNK" and "Stars Soshlis" (in sync with the stars) on NTV.The press service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations confirmed the deaths of two people in the plane crash. The private plane made an emergency landing near the Novoryazanski highway near the village of Tomilino.
