Sikat Na Komedyante Pumanaw Na

Catie Lazarus, an essayist and jokester who examined the brains of famous people and made her own late-night parody universe on her longstanding self-created live New York television show, "Representative of the Month," kicked the bucket on Dec. 13 in her condo in Brooklyn. She was 44.

Her dad, Simon Lazarus III, said the reason was bosom disease. In 2011, as the country recuperated from the Great Recession, Ms. Lazarus was simply one more striving comic attempting to make it in New York. She had exited a doctoral program in clinical brain research at Wesleyan University to move to the city, however as she had a go at setting up herself on the stand-up circuit, she found that steady positions were elusive. Considering these conditions, she began facilitating "Representative of the Month," a meeting based syndicated program about work and work at the Upright Citizens Brigade Theater.

Ms. Lazarus asked eminent authors, specialists, legislators, learned people and jokesters how they had accomplished their lucky professions. She in the end investigated subjects like Rachel Maddow, Dick Cavett, Greta Gerwig and David Simon. She asked about disillusionment, as well; for instance, she asked the columnist Kurt Andersen how he felt about getting pushed out of New York magazine.

“I started hosting this show because I couldn’t quite figure out how to break in,” Ms. Lazarus told The New York Times in 2015. “I wanted to hear from people who, for the most part, love what they do and have carved out a niche for themselves. It wasn’t just about how they broke in, but what they continue to find worth struggling for, worth the heartache and the rejection and the economic toil and other types of losses that go along with it.”
