Former Hollywood correspondent Sam Rubin has passed away after being taken to the hospital. Known for hosting "Hollywood Uncensored," Rubin died in Los Angeles at the age of 64. Reports indicate that he suffered a heart attack after doing a segment from his home, as reported by The Mirror.

KTLA confirmed the news, stating, "KTLA 5 is profoundly saddened to report the death of Sam Rubin. Sam was a giant in the local news industry and the entertainment world, and a fixture of Los Angeles morning television for decades." The network added in their tribute, "His laugh, charm, and caring personality touched all who knew him. Sam was a loving husband and father: the roles he cherished the most. Our thoughts are with Sam's family during this difficult time."

Sam Rubin had also been a correspondent for "This Morning," frequently providing insights and gossip from a Hollywood studio. His most recent visit to the "This Morning" studios was in 2018, where he sat down with then-hosts Eamonn Holmes and Ruth Langsford to share his take on the celebrity world.

The presenter last appeared on air on Thursday, May 9, a day before his death on Friday, May 10. He had been a staple on KTLA since 1991, earning several Emmys and a Golden Mike award throughout his career. Rubin also hosted his own show, "Hollywood Uncensored with Sam Rubin," which ran for over 100 episodes.

He married Leslie Gale Shuman in 2007, and together they have two children. Rubin was previously married to Julie Anderson, with whom he tied the knot in 1988 and divorced in 2006; they also share two children.
